Meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation to Be Organized

State Secretary Corina Călugăru held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Moldova, Almat Aidarbekov, TRIBUNA reports.

During the discussions, the officials reviewed the main aspects of Moldovan-Kazakh relations and examined ways to intensify political dialogue and deepen bilateral cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on tapping the potential for cooperation in trade and economic affairs, energy and transport.

In this context, the parties stressed the importance of organizing, in the near future, the regular meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in order to advance the bilateral agenda.

The officials also welcomed the constructive cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, including the United Nations and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on recent developments in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the adoption of the new Constitution and the upcoming parliamentary elections.
