Prime Minister Vasile Tofan said at the beginning of today’s government meeting that the teachers’ protest is currently the most important issue. The official said he respects teachers’ right to protest and defend their rights, TRIBUNA reports.

The head of government said the issue should not be avoided, no matter how difficult it may be.

“I don’t want us to focus on the reasons why we are facing delays, but I want us to talk about what we are going to do.

Today, at 2:00 p.m., we will hold a press conference and announce a series of measures,” Vasile Tofan said.

The prime minister also said that the state’s fiscal capacity and budget revenues must be increased so that all needs and salary increases can be covered.
