Prime Minister Vasile Tofan has announced an expanded meeting dedicated to the transit of Ukrainian grain by rail, TRIBUNA reports.
The government took into account the request from the “Forța Fermierilor” Association, agreeing to the participation of a larger delegation consisting of five representatives. Representatives of other agricultural associations have also been invited to the discussions, so that the solutions identified reflect the interests of the entire sector and provide a balance between the needs of all parties involved.
The working meeting will also be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and S.A. “Calea Ferată din Moldova” (Moldovan Railways).
The purpose of the discussions is to ensure that Moldovan farmers have priority access to rail transport and that the mechanism for transiting Ukrainian grain does not affect the local market.
The meeting will take place on Thursday afternoon at the Government headquarters.
