To contribute to a better understanding of its mission and role, the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) is launching an information campaign, TRIBUNA reports.

“The work of intelligence services has always been surrounded by questions, perceptions, and interpretations. The discreet nature of this mission has, over time, given rise to numerous myths about the role, responsibilities, and functioning of an intelligence service.

What does an intelligence service actually do? Who are the people working at this institution? What is its role in protecting national security? And how close to reality are the myths we are familiar with?

To contribute to a better understanding of its mission and role, the Intelligence and Security Service is launching an information campaign dedicated to these questions and to the reality behind perceptions that have developed over time.

From August 11 to September 11, in the context of the 35th anniversary of the creation of Moldova’s state security institutions, we will publish a series of materials aimed at debunking myths and stereotypes, presenting interesting facts about the institution’s activities, and bringing to the public’s attention relevant information for a better understanding of the specifics of intelligence work,” SIS announced.
