Igor Grosu to the Diaspora: “I Am Confident That Moldova Will Soon Become a Place You Will Want to Return to, Not Just for the Holidays”

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said that August is the month of the diaspora and issued an appeal to members of the Moldovan diaspora, TRIBUNA reports.

“August is undoubtedly the month of our diaspora, whom we look forward to welcoming with the greatest joy. I will never tire of saying that we have a wonderful, united, and engaged diaspora that deserves a developed country it can be proud of,” the official said.

In this context, the Speaker of Parliament also said:

“Dear Moldovans living abroad, I sincerely wish that every time you return home, you find the country increasingly beautiful, more developed, and welcoming. A new road being built, a renovated kindergarten in your native village, your parents’ home connected to the water supply — this is the gratitude we strive to show you for the care you continue to have for your country.

You have stood by your country at decisive moments, and we continue to need your voice and your energy to see the country’s European project through to the end. I am confident that Moldova will soon become a place you will want to return to, not just for the holidays. We are working at full speed to make this happen.”
