Head of State Thanks Latvia for Its Strong Support for Moldova's European Integration and Assistance Provided

President Maia Sandu received Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, at the Presidential Office during her visit to Chișinău, TRIBUNA reports.

The discussions focused on strengthening Moldovan–Latvian relations and the close cooperation between the two countries in the context of the Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union. The two officials welcomed the strong political dialogue between Chișinău and Riga, reinforced by President Maia Sandu’s visit to Latvia in April, as well as by the regular contacts between the authorities of the two countries.

The Head of State thanked Latvia for its steadfast support for the Republic of Moldova on its path toward European integration and for the assistance provided in strengthening state institutions, enhancing energy resilience, and advancing digital transformation. The President also expressed appreciation for Latvia’s continued designation of the Republic of Moldova as one of the priority countries under its development cooperation policy.
