President Maia Sandu has delivered a message regarding the reform of local public administration. Addressing locally elected officials, the Head of State encouraged them to complete the voluntary municipal amalgamation process, TRIBUNA reports.

“Dear mayors and local councilors,

Thank you for having the courage to put the interests of your citizens first.

I encourage you to complete the voluntary amalgamation process, to remain committed, and to make decisions that support the development of your communities.

Only by working together can we build stronger local administrations and create communities with greater opportunities for growth and development.”
