The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova is meeting today for the final sitting of the first ordinary session of 2026. The Permanent Bureau of Parliament approved a supplement to the agenda of the meeting, TRIBUNA reports.

The supplement includes nine draft laws. During the first reading, MPs will debate two legislative initiatives aimed at harmonizing national legislation with European Union standards. These concern the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and strengthening procedural guarantees for individuals under criminal investigation.

The agenda also includes several draft laws on the ratification of international agreements and conventions, including those related to financing projects for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the “Moldova Orchard II” project, the protection of farm animals and animals during international transportation, as well as the co-production of audiovisual works in the form of series.

MPs will examine in the second reading the draft law aimed at strengthening the child protection system against violence, neglect, and exploitation, as well as the bill concerning the identification and registration of animals.

Previously, the Permanent Bureau approved the main agenda of the plenary sitting, which includes the examination of 24 draft normative acts.

The plenary session will take place on Thursday, July 30, starting at 10:00.
