The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova was adopted by the 13th Legislature of Parliament during a historic session held on July 29, 1994.

The parliamentary presidium was chaired by Parliament Speaker Petru Lucinschi, alongside Deputy Speakers Nicolae Andronic and Dumitru Moțpan.

Immediately after the vote, Mircea Snegur, the first President of the Republic of Moldova, who was present at the session, promulgated the country’s Supreme Law.
