Government: Measures Have Already Been Taken to Ensure the Diesel Market Supply

The Government has announced that it has already taken measures to ensure the supply of diesel fuel on the market. Over the past 24 hours, two barges carrying approximately 6,000 tonnes of fuel have entered the country, TRIBUNA reports.

“Additionally, we anticipate the arrival today of another shipment with a similar capacity of around 6,000 tonnes of diesel fuel. These additional volumes are intended to immediately reduce the existing shortages at some fuel stations.

The Government continues to closely monitor the situation and will adopt, if necessary, additional measures to ensure the country’s stable fuel supply,” the statement reads.

It should be noted that as of July 27, 53 fuel stations (less than 10%) out of a total of 590 stations (including 38 belonging to the Lukoil network) had no diesel fuel stocks available. By comparison, at the peak of the crisis in spring 2026, on March 26, 182 fuel stations had no available stocks. The causes of the shortage included the decrease in the water level of the Danube River, as well as the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, which led to disruptions in transport supply chains and affected fuel deliveries.
