Alexandru Munteanu concludes today his term as Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. The interim role will be taken over by Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu, TRIBUNA reports.
“Under Article 101 paragraphs (2) and (3) and Article 103 paragraph (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, as well as Article 23 of the Law on the Government, the head of state appoints another member of the Government as acting prime minister until the formation of the new Government.
The President of the Republic of Moldova has today signed the decree appointing Mr. Eugeniu Osmochescu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, as acting prime minister, effective 8 July 2026,” the Presidency announced.
