Prime Minister held a meeting with the European Union’s Special Representative for the Transnistrian settlement negotiations

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu held a meeting with Audrone Perkauskiene, the European Union’s Special Representative for the Transnistrian settlement negotiations and Deputy Director‑General for Eastern Europe and Central Asia within the European External Action Service, TRIBUNA reports.

The officials discussed the progress achieved by the Republic of Moldova in advancing its European agenda and in implementing key reforms. In this context, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the constant support provided to our country, emphasizing that European assistance contributes to strengthening state resilience, enhancing security, and increasing institutional capacity to respond to current challenges.

For her part, the EU Special Representative reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to continue supporting the Republic of Moldova and to mobilize well‑targeted assistance in priority areas for our country, including resilience building, cybersecurity, and countering hybrid risks.

The parties also discussed the importance of regional security and exchanged views on the Transnistrian settlement process, underscoring the need to continue dialogue and mutual coordination in order to advance toward a definitive settlement.
