The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) acknowledges and assumes responsibility for the institutional and human errors committed in the management of MoldATSA, TRIBUNA reports.

Igor Grosu, PAS leader, said that “checks were not carried out in time, reactions were delayed, and matters were not thoroughly investigated.”

“People have the right to demand explanations and to expect state institutions to function correctly. And we have the duty to take responsibility when problems arise.

Decisions have already been taken regarding the leadership of MoldATSA, the Public Property Agency (APP), and within the party. We have launched internal investigations in other state‑owned enterprises as well. Just today — during the National Permanent Bureau meeting — we revoked Anastasia Taburceanu’s party membership and voted to expel Mihai and Petru Bondari and Lilia Coică from the party. At the same time, I am asking the Government to dismiss Petru Bondari from Metalferos, including a review of high salaries in state enterprises,” he stated.

The PAS leader also issued an apology. “We apologize for the mistakes made. Our objective has not changed — to bring the country into the EU, to build strong institutions, to have a developed economy. Democracy, institutions and the rule of law are based first and foremost on trust. The road is very difficult and mistakes have been made, but many important achievements have also been obtained. This national objective is above party interests. We will clean up our teams more carefully, continue the checks, and intervene more quickly when notified.

I know that whatever we say now will be met with distrust, and people’s anger is natural. I understand that words are less credible and that actions are needed to show that we have not deviated from the principles of integrity, correctness and honesty. And that is what we will do,” the politician said.
