EBRD support for Moldova’s development projects discussed at the Government

The support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the Republic of Moldova’s development projects, as well as the priorities of cooperation for the coming years, were discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and members of the EBRD Board of Directors. The sides reviewed the results of their partnership to date and the areas in which cooperation will continue to be strengthened, TRIBUNA reports.

Prime Minister Munteanu emphasized that the EBRD is one of Moldova’s most important development partners, playing a key role in supporting reforms, modernizing the economy, and advancing the country’s European integration path.

“Partnership with the EBRD means concrete investments in infrastructure, energy security, economic competitiveness, and better services for citizens. We continue to rely on the Bank’s support for implementing our ambitious reform agenda, the Growth Plan, and for accelerating Moldova’s integration into the European Union,” the Prime Minister stated.

Discussions focused on the Government’s main priorities: implementing the Reform Agenda and the EU‑supported Growth Plan, strengthening energy security, modernizing agriculture, developing infrastructure, improving fiscal policies, and stimulating private investment.
