Today marks four years since the Republic of Moldova was granted the status of candidate country to the European Union — “a historic decision that confirmed the country’s European path and its firm commitment to reforms, democracy, and the rule of law,” TRIBUNA reports.
According to the EU Delegation in Chișinău, during this period Moldova has advanced in its rapprochement with the European Union through measures aimed at strengthening institutions, supporting economic development, improving energy security, and raising living standards for citizens.
The Delegation also emphasised that the European Union remains a reliable strategic partner in this process, supporting Moldova’s national efforts to build a stable, prosperous, and secure future.
