The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, will undertake an official visit to the Czech Republic on 22–23 June 2026, at the invitation of his Czech counterpart, President of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil, TRIBUNA reports.
The programme includes meetings with senior Czech officials and discussions focused on strengthening Moldova–Czech bilateral relations, interparliamentary cooperation, and the Czech Republic’s support for Moldova’s European integration efforts.
During the visit, Igor Grosu will meet with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil, followed by a joint press conference. The Speaker will also hold talks with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Tomio Okamura. The agenda further includes a meeting with members of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two legislatures.
At the Government level, Igor Grosu will meet with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Jaromír Zůna.
While in the Czech Republic, the Speaker of Parliament will also attend the screening of “Landmarks of Moldova”, a film by Czech director Petr Voldán dedicated to the Republic of Moldova and to promoting the country’s image abroad.
