Ion Ceban, leader of the National Alternative Movement, welcomed the decision of European partners to open the first negotiation cluster for Moldova’s accession to the European Union. In his statement, he described the step as important for the country, noting that it also requires “maximum responsibility” from all citizens.
Ceban emphasized that, for his team, European integration is defined not by televised slogans or empty promises but by concrete actions and projects. He pointed to modern schools, equipped hospitals, quality public transport and European‑standard infrastructure, which, according to him, are being implemented daily in Chișinău.
He added that Europe is “built inside the country” through effective governance and respect for people, rather than through electoral public relations campaigns or the centralization of power at the expense of citizens and local communities.
