“The Kremlin’s murderous regime has once again demonstrated that nothing is sacred to it. Those who claim to be defenders of Christian values have bombed one of the most important symbols of Orthodoxy, the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site,” President Maia Sandu said, according to TRIBUNA.
According to the head of state, the attack took place during yet another night of terror for Ukraine, in which innocent people were killed and injured, while infrastructure suffered severe damage.
“In the face of these cowardly attacks, we must remain united in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The Republic of Moldova firmly condemns attacks against civilians and places of worship and remains alongside Ukraine in its struggle for freedom, peace, and the right to determine its own future,” the president added.
