Vice President of Parliament Doina Gherman, who together with several fellow deputies is on a working visit to Brussels, stated that yesterday they received reconfirmation that the Republic of Moldova is prepared to open negotiations on chapters, TRIBUNA reports.

“We are here on a documentation visit to the European Parliament. The delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova includes the chairpersons of all parliamentary committees. In the coming days, we will hold meetings with representatives of the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and the Council of the European Union regarding ongoing reforms, the accession process, and the strengthening of democratic institutions. We will also meet with the Vice Presidents of the European Parliament, Nicolae Ștefănuță and Victor Negrescu, as well as with Members of the European Parliament,” said the deputy.

Doina Gherman emphasized in this context: “The Republic of Moldova has made significant and accelerated progress in preparations for joining the European Union. We have unified political will at the institutional level and clear public support for the country’s European path. It is important to seize this window of opportunity and continue to move forward.”
