The Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” announced that suspicions regarding the alleged illegal financing of the party have not been confirmed.

According to the political formation, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has completed a comprehensive financial audit of the activities of the Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” for the periods from May 1 to August 31 and from August 3 to October 1, 2025, during its participation in the Patriotic Electoral Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Heart and Future of Moldova.

The audit was launched after the CEC accepted complaints alleging illegal financing of the party. According to the results of the verification, the suspicions were not confirmed, while the minor irregularities identified were mostly technical in nature.

The Republican Party “Heart of Moldova” recalled that, based on these suspicions, the party’s candidates were excluded from the electoral list of the Patriotic Electoral Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Heart and Future of Moldova. In addition, restrictions were imposed on the party’s activity. These precautionary measures remain in force, while a related case is currently under examination at the Chișinău Court of Appeal.

“Now, after the CEC audit confirmed that the Republican Party ‘Heart of Moldova’ operates in full compliance with the current legislation and that the financing of its activity is entirely legal, we will initiate the necessary actions for the rehabilitation of the party. In particular, we will submit the appropriate requests to the Ministry of Justice and to the Chișinău Court of Appeal seeking the cancellation of the decision restricting the activity of the Republican Party ‘Heart of Moldova’,” the party’s statement says.

Party leader Irina Vlah also released a video message following the CEC meeting.

“Officially! The CEC verification confirmed the legality of the financing of the ‘Heart of Moldova’ Party. The accusations used to exclude our candidates from the elections and to restrict the party’s activity turned out to be false. Now the word belongs to the court. After the conclusions of the CEC, there is only one legal decision possible – the cancellation of the restrictions imposed on the ‘Heart of Moldova’ Party,” she stated.
