The Diaspora Congress of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) took place in Verona. The event was attended by PAS leader Igor Grosu, TRIBUNA reports.
“I reconnected with our people from Italy, Ireland, France, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Romania. Together, we discussed the European path of the Republic of Moldova and the essential role our diaspora plays in this process. They are our best ambassadors, promoting the country’s image through their decency, responsibility and respect for the states in which they live.
In a warm atmosphere, the new leadership of the organization was elected for the next two years. I congratulate Valeriu Robu, who will lead PAS Diaspora, together with First Vice President Natalia Cucoș and Vice Presidents Dumitru Scutelnic, Corina Dobrea and Constantin Ghenea. The Permanent Bureau of the organization was also elected during the congress,” he said.
The PAS leader wished success to the newly elected team and noted that he looks forward to seeing them at the PAS Congress, which will take place on June 14 in Chișinău.
“The voice of our diaspora is very important to us. Over the years, Moldovans from all corners of the world have shown involvement, courage and love for their country, and their vote has always been decisive in strengthening the European course of the Republic of Moldova,” Igor Grosu added.
