During his visit to Copenhagen, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from European Union member states participating in the Conference of Speakers of EU Parliaments, TRIBUNA reports.
The Speaker met with:
- Vincent Blondel, President of the Senate of Belgium
- Richard Raši, Speaker of the Parliament of Slovakia
- Zoran Stevanović, President of the National Assembly of Slovenia
- Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
- Niko Peleshi, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania
The discussions focused on Moldova’s European integration path, the efforts underway in the EU accession process, and the political support needed to advance and accelerate this trajectory.
Igor Grosu emphasized that “it is essential that our country’s position is clearly represented on all European platforms. Joining the European Union is not only about domestic reforms, but also about strong partnerships across Europe, including at the interparliamentary level.”
The Speaker also attended an official event hosted by King Frederik X of Denmark, alongside other heads of parliament from European states.
