The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will undertake an official visit to Chișinău on 7–8 May 2026, TRIBUNA reports.
7 May
Her first day in Moldova will focus on security and defence cooperation. Meetings are scheduled with:
- Anatolie Nosatîi, Minister of Defence
- Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Discussions will centre on regional security, defence resilience, and Moldova–EU cooperation in these areas.
8 May
Kallas will hold high-level meetings with:
- President Maia Sandu
- Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu
- Other senior Moldovan officials
Her agenda also includes exchanges with civil society representatives and participation in EuroQuiz, an event bringing together young people from across Moldova.
