Parliament meets today in plenary session

Parliament meets today in a plenary session. The Standing Bureau has approved the agenda.

In the first reading, MPs will examine legislative amendments aimed at strengthening crisis‑response mechanisms. The agenda also includes draft initiatives on facilitating employment opportunities for convicted persons, digitalizing the Day‑Labour Registry, and amending the Law on Seeds.

In the second reading, Parliament will examine the draft law on the admission, stay and supervision of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, the draft law on zoological gardens, and amendments to the Law on Condominiums. MPs will also consider draft laws related to the application of VAT and excise duties in the Transnistrian region, fiscal and customs facilities for the implementation of the “Higher Education” Project, as well as the removal of customs duties for the import of certain U.S.‑origin products.

The agenda further includes foreign‑policy items, such as Moldova’s withdrawal from the Energy Charter Treaty and the denunciation of an agreement concluded within the Commonwealth of Independent States.

During today’s plenary session, MPs will also amend the Parliament’s Decision on friendship groups and hear the 2025 Activity Report of the National Integrity Authority.

The plenary session begins at 10:00. The draft agenda is available on the Parliament’s official website, and the meeting will be streamed live on the institution’s communication platforms.
