President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will pay an official visit to Ireland on 8 April, TRIBUNA reports.
The agenda includes meetings with the President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, with Prime Minister Micheál Martin — alongside whom the Moldovan head of state will hold a press conference — and with Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris. Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and on support for Moldova’s European integration path, in the context of Ireland taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union starting 1 July.
The President will also hold meetings in the Irish Parliament and will take part in a public discussion at Trinity College Dublin. While in Dublin, President Maia Sandu will meet with Moldovan citizens living in Ireland.
