Ion Ceban, the mayor of the capital and leader of the National Alternative Movement, stated that the PAS government is “once again harming young people and families who want to build a future at home”, TRIBUNA reports.
Ceban criticized the decision to halt the “First Home” housing program, arguing that:
- the authorities are “driving young people and citizens out of the country”;
- more than 300,000 Moldovans have left in recent years;
- for many families, the program was “the only real chance to buy a home.”
He added that, in his view, PAS is dismantling what remains good in the country.
