Maia Sandu in Ungheni: “New generations grow up simultaneously in the real and virtual worlds, and our role is to offer them confidence and real support”

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu paid a working visit to the municipality of Ungheni, where she took part in a new round of the national dialogue on children’s safety online. The event, hosted by the Ion Creangă Lyceum, brought together students, parents, teachers, and psychologists, TRIBUNA reports.

“New generations grow up simultaneously in the real and virtual worlds, and our role as a society is to offer them not only rules, but above all confidence and real support when they face risks,” President Maia Sandu emphasized.

During the visit, the head of state also met with local entrepreneurs from Ungheni, expressing appreciation for initiatives that create jobs and strengthen communities. “Here in Ungheni, I was glad to discover local businesses that are growing beautifully, thanks to dedicated entrepreneurs who invest and create jobs. Because ideas take shape here, at home, communities become more prosperous and stronger,” Maia Sandu stated.

The President also reviewed progress on the Podul de Flori (Bridge of Flowers), an infrastructure project designed to improve road connectivity across the Prut River and open new prospects for economic development on both banks. “We are improving connectivity and bringing Moldova closer to the European space through modern infrastructure and strategic investments,” President Maia Sandu noted.
