The European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, will undertake a new official visit to Chișinău on 26–27 March 2026. The Commissioner will be accompanied by representatives of the European Commission, including Ana Gallego Torres, Director‑General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST), TRIBUNA reports.

On the first day, the Commissioner will meet with representatives of key justice‑sector institutions and civil society. Discussions will focus on ongoing reforms in the justice sector.

On the second day, the agenda includes meetings with President Maia Sandu, members of the vetting commissions, as well as representatives of the Government and Parliament — including Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov.

Additionally, on 27 March at 13:25, a joint press conference with the Minister of Justice, Vladislav Cojuhari, is scheduled.
