Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu stated that, following the overnight attacks launched by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, the Isaccea–Vulcănești power line was disconnected, once again putting Moldova’s energy stability at risk, TRIBUNA reports.
“Alternative supply routes have been activated to prevent power outages, but the situation remains fragile,” the official noted.
It should be recalled that, as a result of last night’s attacks on the energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine, the Isaccea–Vulcănești Power Line has been disconnected. To maintain the electricity supply to the Republic of Moldova, throughout the night the transmission system operator Moldelectrica, in coordination with the transmission operators of Romania and Ukraine, activated alternative supply routes, including the four 110 kV interconnection lines between Romania and Moldova. The Isaccea–Vulcănești line remains disconnected, and inspection work is ongoing.
