The Government has announced that, following last night’s attacks on the energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine, the Isaccea–Vulcănești power line has been disconnected, TRIBUNA reports.
To maintain the electricity supply to the Republic of Moldova, throughout the night the transmission system operator Moldelectrica, in coordination with the transmission operators of Romania and Ukraine, activated alternative supply routes, including the four 110 kV interconnection lines between Romania and Moldova.
The Isaccea–Vulcănești line remains disconnected, and inspection work is ongoing.
At the same time, in the context of the line’s disconnection, the Government is urging citizens to use electricity rationally during peak hours to avoid overloading the transmission and distribution networks, including cross‑border high‑voltage lines.
