Ion Ceban, the mayor of the capital and leader of the National Alternative Movement (MAN), is calling for Parliament to convene in an extraordinary session today in order to propose and approve urgent measures in response to the recent increases in diesel and gasoline prices, TRIBUNA reports.
According to the politician, statements made by the governing authorities are welcome, but citizens, farmers, and economic operators are expecting immediate solutions.
“Yesterday, MAN MPs requested, at the Standing Bureau, and also sent to all parliamentary factions, a request to convene MPs in a session to take immediate decisions, just as all other countries have done.
Political statements are necessary, but they do not help people in their daily lives.
Today, urgent solutions are needed, and we have proposed them”, the MAN leader added.
