The leader of the National Alternative Movement Party (MAN), Ion Ceban, stated that President Maia Sandu must include only one priority topic on the agenda of the National Security Council (NSC): the adoption of urgent measures to counter the rise in fuel prices, TRIBUNA reports.
“If this issue is not discussed within the Council, then this meeting will be yet another formality. The state must stop burdening citizens and intervene with concrete solutions, as is happening in other countries,” Ion Ceban emphasized.
At the same time, the MAN leader warned that, in the absence of immediate decisions, the parliamentary opposition must mobilize.
“If no measures are taken today, I propose urgently convening the opposition in Parliament. I call on the leaders of the parties — Vladimir Voronin, Renato Usatîi, Igor Dodon, Vasile Costiuc — to show unity and initiate the convening of an emergency session of the Legislature,” Ion Ceban declared.
He reiterated the need for swift and effective actions to protect citizens in the face of the continuous increase in fuel prices.
