A new important step in the Republic of Moldova’s path toward joining the European Union: the Council of the European Union, under the Presidency of Cyprus, announced today the opening of technical negotiations for the last three groups of negotiation chapters — 3, 4, and 5, TRIBUNA reports, referring to the Delegation of the European Union to Chișinău.
According to the EU Delegation, Cluster 3 is essential for economic development, the creation of better jobs, and the closer integration of Moldovan businesses into the EU market.
Cluster 4 can support the transition to cleaner energy, a healthier environment, and improved transport connectivity.
Cluster 5 is particularly important for agriculture and rural communities, for balanced regional development, and for more efficient management of natural resources.
“Thus, technical negotiations are now underway on all six accession clusters, after negotiations for clusters 1, 2, and 6 were launched earlier this year,” the institution stated.
