On the morning of 14 March 2026, at around 01:30, the Air Operations Service of the National Army detected an unauthorized flight over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by an aerial object, which later reportedly left the country’s territory in the direction of the localities Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova) — Novoselka (Ukraine), TRIBUNA reports.
At the same time, the Border Police was informed by the Ukrainian authorities about the overflight of Moldovan airspace by a Shahed‑type drone in the eastern region of the country, along the route Aleksandrovka (Ukraine) — Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova).
Based on the information received, the responsible institutions undertook all necessary procedural measures, including verifying the area where the overflight occurred.
The authorities assure the public that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is under constant monitoring and that all necessary measures are being applied to prevent and manage potential risks.
In light of this incident, citizens are urged to remain vigilant and to inform the competent authorities if they observe any unidentified flying objects.
