The Crisis Cell of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is operating on a permanent basis and continues to closely monitor security developments in the Middle East.
As of 4 March, the situation in the region remains largely unchanged compared to previous updates. The security context continues to be complex and volatile, but no major additional developments have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
The diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova in the affected states remain in constant contact with local authorities and with Moldovan citizens in the area.
According to the information confirmed so far, no casualties or injured persons have been reported among Moldovan citizens in the monitored states.
In certain areas, airspace remains closed or restricted, and some flights may be cancelled or rescheduled without prior notice. Local authorities continue to maintain heightened security measures, including shelter‑in‑place recommendations and limitations on non‑essential movement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its recommendations to Moldovan citizens in the region:
• avoid non‑essential travel;
• strictly follow the instructions of local authorities;
• regularly check flight status directly with airlines;
• stay in contact with Moldova’s diplomatic missions;
• rely exclusively on official information sources.
