The head of state, Maia Sandu, attended the opening of the 60th edition of the Mărțișor International Music Festival, which took place on March 1 at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace in Chișinău. During the event, the musical Maria Mirabela was premiered, TRIBUNA reports.
The jubilee edition, held under the slogan “The Joy of Being Together”, takes place from March 1 to 12 and includes 25 performances in the capital. Launched in 1966 and organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Mărțișor Festival has, for six decades, contributed to promoting local cultural and artistic values and to celebrating spring through music.
Additionally, throughout the month of March, more than 40 concerts are scheduled in various localities as part of the “Mărțișor Across the Country” program.
