President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, delivered a message marking four years since the start of the war in Ukraine, TRIBUNA reports.
“At dawn on a day that changed history, Ukraine chose to resist. And it has stood firm. The resilience of the Ukrainian people is a beacon for the entire free world.
We bow our heads in memory of those who lost their lives in these four years of war. We share the grief of those who have lost loved ones. We carry with us the suffering of those who were wounded or forced to flee the path of violence. We do not forget the torment of prisoners of war who were tortured and humiliated in captivity.
We will always be grateful to Ukrainians for defending our peace and freedom, and that of all Europe. Ukraine deserves a just peace. And we will support Ukraine with unwavering solidarity,” the President stated.
