Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu conveyed a message of support for the Ukrainian people, TRIBUNA reports.

“On the night of 23 to 24 February 2022, the Ukrainian people were awakened by the sound of war. For four years — more than 1,400 days — people in Ukraine have lived in cold, in darkness, far from home or under the threat of bombs.

For four years, Ukraine has fought with determination for freedom, for its country, and for its future.

We condemned from the very first day the brutal aggression of the Russian Federation, and we remain steadfast in our support for the Ukrainian people,” Speaker Igor Grosu emphasized.

We recall that last night Igor Grosu took part in a flashmob in the Parliament square, where candles were lit and arranged to form the word “peace.” As a sign of solidarity, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova was illuminated in the colours of Ukraine.
