Members of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova are taking part in commemorative events marking four years since the start of the war in Ukraine, TRIBUNA reports.
The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Ukraine are paying a visit to the Verkhovna Rada. The delegation is led by the head of the Friendship Group, MP Alexandr Trubca. In Kyiv, the MPs will join parliamentarians from several countries at the commemorative events organized by the Ukrainian legislature.
Also on Monday, 23 February, the Chair of the Committee on European Integration, Marcel Spatari, participated in the Special Meeting of the Black Sea Security Forum, held in Odesa. The event focused on analysing how the war is reshaping partnerships and the rules of global power.
It is worth noting that last night the Parliament building was illuminated in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, as a sign of solidarity and support for the people of the neighbouring country.
