MAN leader: “The government continues to divide society. Now it has reached the Church as well”

Ion Ceban, leader of the National Alternative Movement (MAN), stated that four people have been detained in connection with the conflict in Dereneu, adding that “this conflict was intentionally created, with the involvement of certain individuals,” TRIBUNA reports.

“However, this is only the first situation, and other similar cases may follow. We are talking about 656 churches across the country and 21 monasteries, regarding which I was informed that decisions similar to those taken in the Dereneu case are expected,” he said.

Ion Ceban noted that the government’s failure to take a stance, communicate with both sides and with the people, and its attempts to cover up the situation, are causing citizens to end up in conflict with one another.

“The government continues to divide society. Now it has reached the Church as well,” the MAN leader concluded.
