Igor Grosu, the Speaker of Parliament, had “a good meeting” with Myles Geiran, the Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.
“We discussed our European path, including in the context of Ireland taking over the Presidency of the EU Council in the second half of the year. I thanked him for the decision to open an embassy in Chișinău — an important step that brings our countries even closer. The transformation Ireland has undergone after joining the EU shows how much people matter: their work, civic engagement, and confidence in a better future,” the official stated.
The head of the Legislature emphasized that Ireland’s experience “is one from which we have much to learn and which gives us confidence that Moldova, too, can succeed, step by step”.
