The National Alternative Movement Party (MAN) organized a flashmob in front of the Government building to mark 100 days of activity of the Government led by Alexandru Munteanu. The action took place under the slogan “ZERO Government” and targeted the Executive’s incompetence and the lack of concrete results in its first 100 days, a period during which this Government was presented by the PAS administration as a “savior” of the economy and citizens’ well‑being, TRIBUNA reports.
Members of Parliament, municipal councilors, party members, and supporters of the National Alternative Movement took part in the flashmob.
Participants stated that during these 100 days, the Munteanu Government not only failed to solve the country’s major problems but actually worsened them. Among the main failures highlighted were:
- the failure of negotiations with the IMF, creating conditions for an increase in state debt through more expensive loans;
- the approval of an unbalanced budget, in which spending on officials’ comfort is almost equal to the investments planned for 2026;
- the lack of support for farmers and the refusal to increase teachers’ salaries;
- the inability to secure fair natural gas tariffs and the intentional delay of recalculations, described as theft from citizens and institutions;
- the increase in electricity tariffs and the reduction of compensations;
- the rise in fiscal pressure through the evaluation and re‑evaluation of real estate;
- the launch of a so‑called local public administration reform aimed at consolidating political control and eliminating approximately 600 mayoralties;
- delays in putting the Vulcănești–Chișinău power line into operation;
- the lack of reaction and communication in crisis situations, including during electricity outages.
At the end of the action, participants symbolically handed a pretzel to the Government to illustrate that although “the pretzel” had been promised, citizens received only the hole.
Representatives of the National Alternative Movement stated that the first 100 days confirm that the Munteanu Government, proposed by PAS, is a weak Executive, lacking vision, responsiveness, and respect for citizens.
