As of 2 February 2026, the number of voters registered in the State Voter Register is 3,298,894.

Of the total number of voters (3,298,894), 2,762,765 citizens with voting rights are assigned to second‑level administrative‑territorial units.

The difference consists of persons who hold Moldovan citizenship but do not have a registered domicile or residence, including those who have officially emigrated abroad (258,396 persons), as well as citizens with voting rights whose domicile is registered in the administrative‑territorial units on the left bank of the Nistru, which are temporarily outside the sovereign control of the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova (277,733 persons).
