Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.
During the discussion, both sides expressed interest in harnessing the potential of bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The two ministers examined opportunities for developing and diversifying sectoral partnerships, with a particular focus on economic and investment cooperation, including the organization of a meeting of the Moldovan‑Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Another key topic concerned regional security challenges, including hybrid threats and disinformation, as well as the need to strengthen response capacities to these risks.
The Armenian Foreign Minister also extended an invitation to Mihai Popșoi to pay a working visit to Yerevan in order to continue the dialogue and further strengthen relations between the two countries.
Between 26–28 January, Minister Mihai Popșoi is participating in the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), in his capacity as Chair of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
