President Maia Sandu will pay an official visit to the Republic of Poland on 25–26 January, at the invitation of President Karol Nawrocki. The delegation includes Minister of Defence Anatolie Nosatîi and Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan. In Warsaw, the President of Moldova will meet with the Polish President, and the two heads of state will deliver press statements. President Sandu will also meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the Marshal of the Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, and the Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

The agenda of the meetings covers bilateral cooperation, Moldova’s accession to the European Union, and regional security.

From Warsaw, President Maia Sandu will travel to Strasbourg, where on Tuesday, 27 January, she will deliver an address during the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The Republic of Moldova currently holds the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, a mandate exercised from 14 November 2025 to 15 May 2026.

The speech will be available for viewing online starting at 11:00.

In Strasbourg, the head of state will hold several meetings, including with Petra Bayer, President of PACE, Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marta Cartabia, President of the Venice Commission, and Mattias Guyomar, President of the European Court of Human Rights.

Additionally, on 27 January, President Sandu will attend the Holocaust Remembrance ceremony alongside the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and the President of PACE.
