The European Union’s Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Iwona Piórko, is visiting Gagauzia today for the first time since assuming her mandate, TRIBUNA reports.

She met with the mayors of Comrat, Ceadîr-Lunga, and Vulcănești, discussing the needs and priorities of local communities in the context of Moldova’s European integration path.

“The EU works with all communities across the Republic of Moldova to support local development and to ensure that the benefits of EU integration are felt by all citizens,” the diplomat emphasized.
