Alexei Buzu, Secretary General of the Government, announced that consultations on the reform of local public administration have begun, together with members of the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.
He noted that this is a complex reform, and every proposal will be carefully examined. “We will build this process step by step, and decisions will be taken solely in the interest of our citizens and communities,” the official emphasized.
Alexei Buzu stated that the reform of local administration is important and requires the constructive involvement of all stakeholders.
“We want to conduct genuine and extensive consultations. In this regard, we have sent invitations to parliamentary factions and specialized committees to discuss the preparation and subsequent implementation of the reform.
Yes, there are — and naturally there will be — different opinions, but this reform should not divide us; on the contrary, it should unite us, because its benefits mean better infrastructure for citizens, services closer to people, and stronger town halls,” the Government representative concluded.
