A contract soldier of the National Army, who was on duty at a unit in the Florești garrison, was injured today, 20 January, as a result of a shot fired from his service weapon while performing his duties, TRIBUNA reports.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the incident occurred at 10:50. The police are currently investigating the case.

Additionally, the Minister of Defence has ordered an internal inquiry to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
