Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova has initiated procedures to denounce the founding agreements of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), TRIBUNA reports.
The official stated on Radio Moldova that, after the government procedure is completed, the draft decisions will be submitted to Parliament for approval.
“If the legislature approves the denunciation of the three founding agreements, and the President promulgates them, then after completing the technical steps, the Republic of Moldova will no longer be part of the CIS,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
