“Library Under the Christmas Tree”, organized by the Government: Over 8,000 books donated

Hundreds of employees from public institutions, private companies, and non‑governmental organizations, along with many citizens and children, donated approximately 8,000 books throughout December 2025 during the fourth edition of the “Library Under the Christmas Tree” campaign, organized by the Government, TRIBUNA reports.

The books will be distributed to 85 school libraries, four kindergartens, and two residential centers for the elderly across the Republic of Moldova. The boxes of books will be delivered in the coming weeks by representatives of the state‑owned enterprise “Poșta Moldovei”.

The Government launched the “Library Under the Christmas Tree” campaign in 2022. Its purpose is to donate books to support education, reading, and access to culture among children in the Republic of Moldova. In total, over the four years, around 25,000 books have been collected.
